After Jordan and Syria, The Palestinian Authority and Lebanon have recently signed the Financing Agreement with the European Commission. Following Syria and Jordan, four countries have signed the Financing Agreements up to now. Negotiations are ongoing with the other Mediterranean Partner Countries participating in the Programme.
According to article 10 of the ENPI CBC Implementing Rules (EC Regulation No 951/2007), Financing Agreements shall be signed by Mediterranean Partner Countries before 31st December 2009 in order to allow subjects belonging to these eligible territories to receive Programme funds.
